Kathryn B. Carpenter
Historian & Storyteller
I am a historian and writer focused on telling stories about the connections between people, their environments, and technology.
Now a first-year doctoral student in history of science at Princeton University, I earned an MA in History (emphasis in Public History) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. My research focuses on histories of the environment and technology, and asks questions about how humans make meaning of their surroundings.
I’m dedicated to making relevant connections between scholarship and public understanding using a variety of tools: digital humanities, exhibit design, writing, and more. Read more about my background here.
